so after applying to a bunch of different places, I was finally able to get an internship at UNIDO in bangkok for the summer. I’ll be here for 3 months, and today was my first day (filled mainly with admin tasks such as security training and getting a UN pass).
it looks like it will be really lovely! there are only 8 people in the office, and it seems like I’ll get to do work on energy & environment projects! I’m happy to find out that my past engineering background might come in handy too–like for one of the projects involving boilers.
bangkok is a beautiful city, and I found a place to stay in the old quarter of town. I live on a small soi just off of the main street where UNIDO is, the entrance of which is across from one of bangkok’s hundreds of wats.
